Craft, machines & method.
Everything is made in-house in Johannesburg by full-time model builders, from the first CAD file to the final crate.
Infrastructure & expertise
Our 900 m² premises in Johannesburg were designed specifically for model building. A team of highly skilled, technically proficient model builders works full time, so quality is non-negotiable whatever the deadline.
Our first question is always which presentation or marketing solution will give the client the most value for their particular project.
Production technology
We keep investing in leading CAD, CAM and CNC equipment from some of the best suppliers in the world. Six CNC machines, six filament and three UV 3D printers, a UV flatbed printer and a vinyl printer let us spread work across many machines at once, which shortens production time and keeps projects on schedule.
Methodology
Every job is run on project-management principles, to deliver the best model within the brief, time, quality and budget. That discipline matters when tens of thousands of parts move through several projects at the same time.
Compliance
Modelart is fully compliant with the legislation for our industry. Our company registration, EME status and tax clearance are current and available at short notice.

Real-estate projects are most of our work. We also build engineering, structural, civil, mining, automotive and aeronautic models, product prototypes and corporate gifts.

There is growing demand for concept models, mainly in renewable energy. Much of this work is protected by intellectual-property agreements, so it does not appear in our portfolio.
